JetBlue Airways Corporation (JBLU – Free Report) is a low-cost carrier which is based in Long Island City, NY. The carrier, founded in 1998, operates primarily on point-to-point routes. Revenue: Operating revenues came in at $1,641 million, in-line with the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Revenues improved 2.9% from the year-ago figure. The top line was benefitted primarily by a 5.4% increase in other revenues. Passenger revenues climbed 2.7% in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Key Stats to Note: For the first quarter of 2017, the carrier expects capacity to increase in the band of 4.5% and 6.5%. For the full-year 2017 the metric is expected to increase in the range of 6.5% to 8.5%. Consolidated operating cost per available seat mile, excluding fuel, is expected to grow in the band of 3% to 5% in the first quarter of 2017. For the full-year 2017 the metric is expected to grow in the range of 1% to 3%.

Stock Price: The earnings beat pleased the investors. Shares of the company were up in pre-market trading at the time of writing.
