has finally joined the SOPA protest, slapping its critics which say that the company doesn’t participate in any activity beyond its profits or raises voice about anything but profits.

Apple’s un-named spokesperson says that they take copyrights very seriously and would go to any length to defend their copyrights and patents. However, they also said that SOPA/PIPA is a un-welcomed bill. “We don’t believe in government’s intervention in our matters. We don’t need SOPA/PIP. We are capable of censoring, deleting and erasing existent of the content we deem in-appropriate or against our interest,” said an un-named Apple spokesperson.

Apple almost released a press statement saying “Steve Jobs today announced Apple’s protest against SOPA and PIPA…” The release was pulled back at the last moment, as the Apple PR team was informed that Steve Jobs is no more. The PR team said that they had instructions to attribute every big story to Steve Jobs and they were simply following the orders. The China based PR team of Apple lives under heavy security and is now allowed to interact with the outside world. They get their information through heavily censored official channels and Apple TV.
